Glazed or polido leather (also called "rectified leather") is a waterproof leather, covered with varnish giving the leather a shiny side. This type of leather requires very little maintenance. Indeed, this leather no longer has the pores (grain) of a standard leather, shoe polish, or any other maintenance product, will not be able to penetrate the leather. A simple soft, slightly damp cloth will be enough to properly maintain your frozen shoes .

To best maintain your polished leather shoes, we invite you to follow the advice below:
Prepare your shoes!
First of all, Remove the laces from your shoes . This will allow you to access every nook and cranny of your shoe and will also prevent your laces from getting dirty.
Place your shoes under shoe trees . Placing them under shoe trees at this stage allows you to continue cleaning your shoes in the best possible conditions. This will restore your shoes to their original shape, making them easier to care for.
Start cleaning!
As we mentioned earlier, glazed leather requires very light maintenance and is very different from unglazed leather. Carefully roll up your soft cloth around your index and middle fingers. Make sure the soft cloth, the inner part of your fingers, is not wrinkled .
Add a few drops of water on your cloth, then apply it to your shoe.
Attention : It is strongly recommended not to apply shoe polish or cream to your polished or polished leather. This will dull the shiny effect of the polished leather and give your shoe a pasty, greasy, and unattractive appearance.
Make them shine!
The final step in maintaining your polished leather shoes, consists of polishing them . With an energetic gesture, brush your pair using a Polishing glove . Made from genuine lambskin, the polishing glove is much softer than a polishing brush. It will prevent marks or scratches on your shoes, keeping them in the best possible condition.

It is recommended to maintain polished leather with at least once a month , or every 4 to 5 times you wear them. This takes into account the alternation of your shoes. Indeed, just like a more classic leather shoe, it is strongly recommended to alternate your polished or patent leather shoes so that the leather can rest, breathe and tighten.
Although it requires very little maintenance, glazed leather is a fragile but robust leather. For example, it will be difficult to minimize signs of wear (scratches, marks, cracks). However, since the leather is stiffer than full-grain calfskin, creases will tend to be reduced.
Since this type of leather is already shiny, glazing cannot be done on glazed or polished leathers.
