Finsbury is the leader in Goodyear welt men's footwear. Discover our history and the development of the company
Our story
Finsbury est née dans la région de Northampton en Angleterre, réputée pour être le berceau de la chaussure cousue Goodyear. Créée par Jean-Pierre Dahan et David Cohen, la maison s'implante pour la première fois en France, à Paris, en 1986.
Finsbury shoes
The founders' leitmotif was to position Finsbury as the ultimate competitive brand on the market, offering high-end shoes for less than 1,000 French francs.
Finsbury shoes
Very quickly, the brand established itself as the new leader in high-end Goodyear-welted men's shoes.
Arnaud Bruillon, a passionate man with an unusual background
In 1994, Arnaud Bruillon joined Finsbury as a part-time salesman. A motivated and dynamic employee, he quickly attracted the attention of the house's founders, Mr. Dahan and Mr. Cohen. During these years, Arnaud Bruillon cultivated his passion for the craftsmanship and elegance of men's shoes.
He then climbed the ranks and became a sales outlet manager. In 2000, he seized the opportunity to become the first Finsbury franchisee at the Petits Champs store in Paris . Building on this success, he opened seven sales outlets between 2000 and 2010.
The legacy of a house of expertise
Naturally, Arnaud Bruillon would become involved in the acquisition of the Finsbury brand in 2010. Arnaud Bruillon expressed a unique vision for the brand: to translate the heritage of a house of know-how and tradition, driven by a creative passion. Very quickly, he structured the Finsbury house and offered external franchise partners the opportunity to establish themselves in numerous French cities .
Finsbury's success is based on impeccable advice and customer experience, combined with high-quality, stylish, comfortable and contemporary products.

Modern spaces dedicated to masculine and feminine elegance
To support customers after their purchase, and in order to cultivate their love for men's shoes, Finsbury has chosen to offer patina and shoe repair services . In 2012, the Atelier Finsbury, an artisanal shoe repair shop, and in 2015, the Club Finsbury, a patina bar, opened their doors.
Thanks to these dedicated spaces, where imagination, creativity and craftsmanship are expressed in all their forms, the brand offers a unique and original service.
Finsbury's international development strategy
