THE DOUBLE BUCKLE, A FORMAL SHOE?
The double-monk shoe is arguably the most versatile shoe in a man's wardrobe. In terms of formality, it falls somewhere between a Oxford and a Derby.
If you wear a lot of gray or charcoal shades, choose black. If you have mostly blue suits or outfits, brown is the best color. It's not so formal because it can also be worn with good old jeans.
WHAT TO WEAR WITH DOUBLE EARRINGS?
Its big advantage is that with today's style you can almost combine it with anything. These are shoes that can be worn casually with jeans and a jacket, but also business casually with flannel pants and a blazer. You just have to play with the material to be on point: with flannel pants, choose suede (Gatwick model). With jeans, leather will go very well.
When it comes to suits, anything goes. Double monk straps work equally well with tweed, hopsack, or worsted wool, as long as you choose the right color.
