The manufacture of our belts
Our Finsbury belts are the result of a meticulous artisanal manufacturing process, where each step is carried out with care to guarantee a product of exceptional quality.
Leather Selection: The first step is to carefully select the outer and lining leathers. We choose the highest quality calfskin for the outer and vegetable-tanned suede-finish leathers for the lining, ensuring superior durability and comfort.
Cutting the pieces: The leathers are then cut into different pieces according to the belt model:
• Outer leather
• Lining
• Leather loop
• Leather buckle attachment piece
Assembly of parts: The different parts are assembled with water-based glues (solvent-free), environmentally friendly and offering optimal adhesion
Dyeing and Finishing: The edges are carefully dyed for a flawless finish. Then, the belts go through dyeing, creaming, and brushing stages to give them the desired appearance, whether it's a glossy or matte finish.
Buckle Attachment: The metal buckles are precisely attached to complete the belt.
Every step of this process is carried out with careful attention to detail and quality, ensuring that every Finsbury belt is a symbol of elegance and durability.
Choose your size carefully
Belts come in two sizes: 100 cm and 120 cm. Our leather belts are adjustable! You can unscrew the belt buckle, trim the excess leather to the correct size, and then refasten your belt. We also offer free belt adjustments in all our stores.
How to maintain it?
Smooth leather:
You can apply cream to nourish and moisturize your leather. We do not recommend applying colorless cream to your patinated belts to avoid bleaching them.
Calfskin-suede leather:
You can apply our specially designed calfskin renovator to waterproof and protect calfskin leather. We recommend choosing the same color as your belt to re-pigment the color or using our colorless renovator; be careful not to spray it too close to avoid stains.
