As we recently commented, there are 6 types of men's shoes (Oxford, Derby, loafer, buckle, sneaker, and boots). In addition to these shoe styles, the toe caps can also be differentiated. Indeed, 4 specific toe caps are present in the Finsbury ranges: the one-cut, the straight, the wingtip, and the brogue.
The "one-cut" or plain toe
The plain toe, or "one-cut", refers to a shoe toe made of a single piece with no stitching, so the vamp is simple. This sleek toe cap gives ultimate elegance to your pair of shoes.
The straight toe cap
The straight toe cap is a toe cap to which a piece of leather has been added. It can be formed from a simple seam or perforations. In this case, it is called a "perforated straight toe cap". It is the classic toe cap par excellence.
The wingtip toe cap
Like the straight toe cap, a piece of leather is also added to the toe of the shoe. Here, however, the piece is more complex and extends towards the back of the shoe.
The brogue toe cap
The toe of a shoe can also be brogued. In this case, it features several decorative perforations (usually of different sizes) on the vamp. A brogued shoe can very well have a plain, straight, or wingtip toe.
